 In making the comic some images are more important than others; what I call key frames.  These I give a little extra work on and this is the usual process for me.  Bottom working from the ruff sketch on up to the inks.

Clean Inks for the transition pages to shake off the rust. Still some clean up to do but, coming along.

I think these will be some of the first pages to ink because it will have no text and a simpler cosmic background.  When I first ink, I am super shaky and have to get confidence for inking back so these are the  perfect inking starter pages

April is the month of pencils.. so I'll be showing the pencil evolution of selected pages, 01,02, and the second part pages 14 and 15.

Let's start with page 1, where I draw a thumbnail version to get my initial ideas out (top), then make refinements and adjustments in later phases like the ruff sketch (middle) then end in tight pencils.

100 Day March: Comic Making Challenge (Week 01)

 Starting a new project called 100 Day March.  The goal is to make a Beautiful Beast Kiss Chapter 03 Comic of 24 pages.  Top is the Characters ruff sketches, Middle is thumb version of pages 01-03, and Bottom is pages 04-06.  I try to get all of the story out in this thumbnail form with just the ruffest of drawings and written text.  I'm also recording the process on my Youtube Channel. With the final Deadline being mid to late June... Let's Go!

Beautiful Beast Kiss and Friends Adobe Illustrator Project

 BBK and Friends (left to right, Moon Tiger, Beautiful Beast Kiss, Mockton, Starbot) Group was fun to make, as I try to get better in the program Illustrator.  I'm learning and the practice is good and best of all they are coming out really well.  Group shots can be difficult to get everyone feeling unique and in character, so that was fun. So here is my work flow phases, bottom to top, sketch, lines in illustrator, wireframe (I just thought this was cool), and finally Colors.

Beautiful Beast Kiss Year of the Snake Final

 This one has been a long road, but this is normal for me.  Nearly everything I make goes through phases and this is the final for Beautiful Beast Kiss Year of the Snake.  Bottom is how I make/test colors using a neutral gray backdrop for color tests and using the swatches on the side. Made using Adobe illustrator as I try to get better and faster at the program.

Take a deep breath... now on to the next one.

 I love these characters.  I've been putting Beautiful Beast Kiss and Friends through their paces, and I'm having a really good time. I like the team dynamics.

I think I'm learning a lot and finding a groove artistically, good times.

I gotta get back to it.
